TİAK MULTI-SCREEN MEASUREMENT WORKSHOP
A “MULTI-SCREEN MEASUREMENT” workshop was held at the Wyndham Grand Levent Hotel with the participation of all industry representatives and TİAK Multi-Screen Working Group members on 24 June 2022.

The workshop was conducted as the first step of the coordination process of measuring Television contents that watched on tablets, smart phones and computers which will be treated within the scope of Television Audience Measurement for the period 2022 – 2027, that will start in September.

The event started with the opening speech by TİAK General Manager Dursun GÜLERYÜZ and Deputy Chairman of the Board Directors Emre TAYLAR and continued with Kantar Media England Strategic Content Director John McCarthy. He made a presentation which was about developments in the world of Kantar on Multi-Screen Measurement and summarized the point that they came by giving examples from other countries. McCarthy also conveyed some points that broadcasting organizations should take into account about Multi-Screen Measurement.

Subsequently, Kantar Media Türkiye General Manager Mesut Sakal, put in the picture of developments in Audience Measurement, Global Standards for Multi-Screen Measurement and the adaptation of all these process to Türkiye and conveyed the time plans for the transition to measurement process.

After all presentations, RTÜK Head of the Department of Public Opinion, Broadcast Research and Measurement, Deniz GÜLER evaluated the importance of Multi-Screen Measurement for Türkiye and emphasized the necessity of addressing all these issues within the RTÜK Regulation.
 
The workshop was ended with a question-answer session specific to the Turkish market. Issues such as adaptation of global developments, processes for measuring ads in the world and studies done previously in Türkiye were handled within the scope of the questions.
