TiAK BECAME a MEMBER of i-jic
10 May 2023 / MOROCCO - MARRAKESH 

i-jic formed with the participation of Joint Industry Committees of all media organisations, execute a General Assembly each year in a different country by attendance of all members. This year the General Assembly took place on 10 May 2023 in Marrakesh / Morocco.
 
TİAK General Manager Dursun GÜLERYÜZ participated the General Assembly and after the presentation about Türkiye Television Measurement, TIAK was accepted as a member of i-jic by unanimous vote.
 
i-jic (International Association of Joint Industry Committees for Media Research) is the international organisation which represents JIC organisations involved in media audience measurement and research or in auditing of media audience measurement.
 
The basic functions of i-jic are:
  • to promote the idea, creation and development of JIC organisations worldwide
  • to assist national JIC organisations
  • to advance the research quality of media audience measurement
  • to promote the transparency of all fields related to media audience measurement
  • to promote the knowledge of best practice in media audience measurement and research in the different national advertising markets
  • to become an international information and documentation centre for audience measurement and the auditing of audience measurement
  • to promote the knowledge of possible ways of auditing media audience measurement and research in the different national advertising markets
On 10 May 2023, Jella Hoffmann, CEO of WEMF (Switzerland), was elected as the new President of i-jic. She succeeds Harald Amschler, who served as Chairman of the organisation for the past 15 years and retired this year. i-jic has grown to 18 members from 14 countries after new members attendance, which are UKOM (UK Online Measurement) from Great Britain and TIAK (Television Audience Measurement Committee) from Türkiye.
